Background on Recent Changes
For many years, St. Williams Nursery & Ecology Centre has supplied native plants, trees, shrubs, and restoration materials to conservation groups, municipalities, contractors, and landscape professionals across Ontario.
As ecological restoration expands in scale and urgency, the needs of the restoration sector are changing. Large restoration projects and conservation programs increasingly require support to secure significant volumes of regionally appropriate native seed to restore landscapes responsibly.
To better support this growing demand, our organization is evolving and rebranding as St. Williams Ecology Centre, with a stronger focus on native seed systems and seed-based ecological restoration solutions. This transition allows us to focus and invest more deeply in:
- Scaling native seed production
- Supporting provenance-based seed systems
- Developing traceable restoration supply chains
- Providing seed mixes designed for large-scale restoration
Our goal is to help strengthen the native seed infrastructure needed for ecological restoration across Ontario and beyond. We are grateful for the many partners and customers who have supported our work over the years and appreciate your continued support as our organization evolves.
Current Availability for B2B and Wholesale
During this transition, approved business and wholesale customers can continue to access surplus inventory from our nursery through our plant and seed supply ordering site.
